Head of Software - Lending Product (NBFC)Position Overview.

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Head to lead the end-to-end technology implementation of our lending product for a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC ) in India.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in banking, lending, and payments technology, combined with the ability to architect and oversee product development through in-house teams and third-party vendors.

This role demands a hands-on technologist who understands the nuances of API integrations, regulatory compliance, data security, and scalable architectures in the BFSI Responsibilities :

Technology Leadership & Architecture :

- Define and own the overall technology architecture of the lending product, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with NBFC standards.

- Drive the product development lifecycle through internal teams and external vendors.

- Establish robust API frameworks for integrations with credit bureaus, KYC providers, payment gateways, banking partners, and other fintech service Implementation & Delivery :

- Translate business needs into technical roadmaps and execution plans.

- Ensure smooth delivery of product milestones, balancing speed-to-market with long-term sustainability.

- Monitor vendor deliverables, manage SLAs, and ensure adherence to quality and security & Compliance :

- Oversee integrations with all third-party platforms in the lending and payments value chain.

- Ensure systems comply with RBI, NBFC regulations, and data privacy laws.

- Implement best practices for encryption, identity management, fraud detection, and secure Management :

- Collaborate closely with business, risk, operations, and compliance teams to align product features with regulatory and business requirements.

- Partner with vendors, fintech partners, and technology providers to ensure successful integration and & Process Leadership :

- Build and mentor a small but high-performing tech team for long-term ownership.

- Define engineering processes, DevOps practices, and security-first coding Skills & Experience :

- Experience : 12+ years in Banking/Financial Services IT implementation, with at least 5+ years in lending product architecture and deployment.

- Strong understanding of NBFC workflows, loan origination, loan management systems (LOS/LMS), credit bureau integrations, KYC processes, and payment ecosystems.

- Proven track record in vendor management and leading multi-stakeholder technology projects.

- Hands-on knowledge of :

1. API integrations (REST, SOAP, SDKs).

2. Payment interfaces (UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, cards, wallets).

3. Lending integrations (Aadhaar, PAN, GST, CIBIL/Experian, Account Aggregators).

4. Security frameworks (SSL/TLS, PKI, tokenization, data encryption at rest & transit).

- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in India (RBI guidelines, IT Act, Data Protection Bill, etc.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and execution Qualifications :
