Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Supply Chain Sourcing Manager to lead our global sourcing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in low-cost country sourcing within the manufacturing sector, specifically in electric utility products, and a proven track record of high-volume sourcing.
This role requires significant international travel to identify new suppliers, negotiate agreements, and manage sourcing operations in countries including China, India, Vietnam, Brazil, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage global sourcing strategies for electric utility products to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers in low-cost countries (China, India, Vietnam, Brazil, etc.) to ensure a reliable and diverse supply base.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and trends.
- Negotiate contracts, request for quotes (RFQs), and master service agreements (MSAs) with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of new suppliers into the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with quality, cost, delivery, and service level agreements.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and present sourcing plans, cost analyses, and supplier performance reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing Preferred: Master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in supply chain sourcing, with a focus on low-cost country sourcing in the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in sourcing from countries such as China, India, Vietnam, Brazil, and others.
- Strong understanding of electric utility products and their manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume sourcing and supplier management.
- Extensive experience with international travel to low-cost country locations, including supplier identification, negotiations, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proficiency in relevant sourcing and procurement software and tools.
