Position: Linux Admin L3 Location: Pune Industry: IT Software Experience Required: 8+ YearsProvide L3 (Level 3) support for Linux-based systems, addressing escalated issues from L1 and L2 support teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues related to Linux servers, networking, storage, and performance. Perform regular system administration tasks, including server monitoring, backup management, patching, and configuration changes. Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability and scalable Linux environments. Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Cef). Collaborate with cross-functional teams (networking, security, and application) to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues. Manage kernel updates, upgrades, and troubleshoot any kernel-level issues. Optimise system performance, resource utilisation, and monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus. Implement security best practices, including hardening servers, applying security patches, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
