Job Description – Engineer – Sales & BD Designation : Sales Engineer [3 to 5 Years] Location- HBR Layout, Bengaluru (Distant candidate will be required to relocate nearby)Job Purpose To drive revenue growth and business expansion by identifying customer requirements, preparing competitive and technically sound proposals, managing customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities across industry verticals. The role also involves continuous improvement in technical knowledge, use ofCRM/ERP systems.Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development (EPC/ Tendering/ Proposal/ Project sales) Achieve definedannual salesrevenue targets. Generate new customers and explore business in emerging verticals (e.g., Pharma,Semiconductor, Solar ). Conduct customer visits to identify requirements, present solutions, and strengthen client relationships.Proposal & Opportunity Management Record all enquiries and opportunities inCRM . Prepare and submit proposals within defined timelines: Submit proposals for government tenders, budgetary requirements, and site visit–based requests.Technical & Commercial Competence Translate customer requirements into technically viable solutions and cost-effective proposals. Independently handleERP activities such as Sales Orders, Item Master, and Finished Goods creation. PrepareBOQfrom FUM, including line sizing for PGS & PCH systems. Developcosting templatesfor manpower in large-scale projects. Create templates forinstrumentation requirements(small and large projects).Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering ( Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation preferred). 3–8 years of experience insales engineering, business development, or technical proposals(level dependent). Strong technical understanding with ability to convert customer needs into solutions. Proficiency inSalesforce CRM and ERPsystems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines. Experience with government tendering and industrial capital equipment sales is an advantage.
