We are looking for a results-driven and technically skilled Sales Engineer to drive sales of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Chiller Plant Manager (CPM) solutions, and Controls for commercial and industrial buildings. The role requires a strong mix of technical understanding, solution selling, and customer relationship management to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new business opportunities in greenfield and brownfield projects .
Meet assigned sales targets for controls, BMS, and energy efficiency solutions.
Generate, qualify, and follow up on leads from consultants, contractors, OEMs, and end-users.
Present and demonstrate solutions to decision-makers, highlighting value (energy efficiency, system integration, ROI).
Customer Engagement
Build strong relationships with consultants, MEP contractors, developers, and facility managers.
Engage in consultative selling by understanding customer pain points and proposing tailored solutions.
Support in preparing technical presentations, proposals, and BOQs.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals.
Market & Competition Intelligence
Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.
Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams for strategy alignment.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with the design, execution, and service teams to ensure smooth project handover.
Support marketing initiatives like seminars, webinars, and exhibitions.
(For Manager Role)
Lead and mentor a sales team, setting KPIs and driving performance.
Manage key accounts and develop long-term strategic customer relationships.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education :
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field.
MBA (Sales/Marketing) is a plus.
Experience :
Sales Engineer: 3–7 years in controls/BMS/HVAC/automation sales.
Sales Manager: 8–12+ years, with team handling and key account management experience.
Technical Knowledge :
Strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, Chiller Plant Manager (CPM), energy management, field devices, and system integration .
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications .
Skills :
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a team.
