Job Role-Open edX Developer Job Type- Contract Work mode- Remote Duration-We’re looking for an experienced Open edX Developer to build and customize our scalable, learner-centric upskilling platform. You’ll handle end-to-end development, deployment, and integration of Open edX components while working closely with product, design, and integration teams.Key Responsibilities: Develop, customize, and maintain Open edX (LMS, CMS, Studio). Build XBlocks, UI themes, and backend extensions. Manage deployments using Docker/Kubernetes. Integrate third-party APIs, analytics, LTI tools, and SSO. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized learning experiences. Ensure performance, security, and accessibility compliance. Handle versioning, releases, and issue tracking (GitHub/GitLab). Requirements: 2–4 yrs full-stack experience, including 1–1.5 yrs on Open edX. Python, JavaScript (React/Angular), HTML/CSS. Strong Python/Django, MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Celery. Experience with deploying Open edX on AWS/Azure/GCP using Docker/K8s. Knowledge of REST APIs, LTI, SSO (OAuth2/SAML), analytics (GA, Segment, xAPI). CI/CD tooling: Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins. Nice to Have: Experience in SaaS/EdTech environments. Knowledge of AI/ML-based recommendations. Exposure to microservices and cloud-native development. Agile/sprint-based working experience.
