Experience Required: Minimum 15 years in medical education, including at least 5 years as Principal/Vice-Principal of a recognized medical college

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary medical academician to serve as Dean of MNR Medical College. The Dean will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in academics, administration, regulatory compliance, and institutional development. The role involves overseeing the medical college's teaching programs, faculty performance, student welfare, research initiatives, and regulatory readiness (NMC/UGC/State Medical Council).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead academic, administrative, and clinical operations of the medical college
  • Ensure compliance with NMC norms, UGC regulations, and university affiliation requirements
  • Supervise faculty recruitment, development, and performance appraisal
  • Coordinate with the teaching hospital for seamless academic-clinical integration
  • Guide undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programs
  • Lead internal academic audits, inspections, and curriculum development
  • Foster a culture of research, innovation, and ethical medical practice
  • Represent the institution during inspections, academic councils, and government liaison
  • Promote interdepartmental collaboration and student-centric initiatives
  • Maintain discipline, code of conduct, and uphold institutional values

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: MBBS with MD/MS in any clinical or non-clinical specialty from an NMC-recognized institution
  • Experience: At least 15 years in medical teaching, with 5 years in leadership roles (Principal/Vice-Principal) in a reputed medical college
  • Prior experience handling NMC/MCI inspections and medical college accreditation
  • Leadership in institutional development, faculty governance, and academic planning
  • Retired or Ex-Armed Forces Medical Officers (Brigadier or equivalent rank and above) are strongly encouraged to apply
