- Role SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Performance Testing Architect with strong hands-on experience in Performance Engineering, Performance Testing, Tools, Monitoring and Benchmarking across enterprise platforms. The candidate will be responsible for defining performance strategy, designing performance test frameworks, architecting solutions, and guiding teams in executing large scale performance initiatives. ResponsibilitiesDefine end-to-end Performance Testing & Engineering strategy for complex enterprise programs.Architect and implement performance test frameworks using industry tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, NeoLoad etc.Perform workload modelling, SLAs/SLO definition, sizing & capacity planning.Lead performance test execution including Stress, Load, Spike, Endurance and Scalability tests.Identify performance bottlenecks, root-cause issues & recommend optimizations across application, infra, DB, and network layers.Develop performance dashboards and reporting using APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog etc.).Design CI/CD integrated Performance testing pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).Implement shift-left performance engineering practices with DevOps & agile squads.Act as performance SME to architects, developers, SREs, Infra & product stakeholders.Publish performance tuning recommendations and technical guidance to leadership.Provide mentorship and upskilling to Performance Test Engineers.- Required Skills / Experience7-10+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.Expertise in one or more performance testing tools: JMeter is must and LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, k6 etc is a plus.Strong hands-on experience in APM tools: Perfmon, Dynatrace / AppDynamics / Splunk / Datadog.Strong experience in tuning application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss), JVM, DB (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server), caching, network and OS levels. - Strong scripting knowledge (Python / Shell / Groovy / Java / JavaScript).Deep understanding of HTTP, REST, WebSocket, microservices, cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP).Hands-on experience in distributed load generation, containerized load testing (Docker / Kubernetes).Experience with CI/CD and automation frameworks for continuous performance validation.Ability to interpret performance results, debug thread dumps, GC analysis, Heap/CPU profiling. - PreferredExperience with SRE / Chaos Engineering / Failover testing.Exposure to mobile performance testing.Knowledge on cloud native observability stacks (OpenTelemetry). - Prior architect/tech lead experience. Soft SkillsStrong communication, stakeholder handling and presentation skills.Ability to influence design decisions with performance-first mindset.Capability to lead, coach and build high performance testing engineering teams.
