Idyllic Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering to lead the engineering division for one of its esteemed clients, a global leader in agency and brokerage management systems. This role is pivotal in steering a technologically advanced workforce dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to a diverse clientele across the United States, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Role Overview

The SVP of Engineering will be responsible for shaping the future of the India organization through visionary leadership, overcoming challenges, and building a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for engineering within the organization. Collaborate with executive teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead a diverse team of over 100 professionals, including leaders and individual contributors across Engineering, Product Adoption, Customer Experience, and Shared Services. Oversee performance management, recruitment, goal setting, and achievement metrics.
  • Global Collaboration: Develop strategic alliances and adopt a product-focused approach to enhance the company’s standing as an industry pioneer while ensuring scalability and profitability.
  • Roadmap Execution: Partner with global teams to define and execute product delivery strategies that foster innovation and effective implementation.
  • Coaching & Development: Mentor engineering leaders to improve Agile processes and cultivate a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure transparent management of backlogs and delivery processes across stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Architectural Alignment: Collaborate with global architecture leaders to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Engage in technical discussions regarding software design, architecture, and implementation. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to drive innovation in automation and AI.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest digital strategies, technologies, and industry trends to inform decision-making.


Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fields.


Experience: Minimum of 15 years in IT with at least 10 years in software engineering leadership roles within global SaaS or product development companies. Experience managing offshore teams is essential.


Skills:

  • Proven ability to engage in technical discussions regarding software design, architecture, and implementation.
  • Strong aptitude for quickly understanding various products and applications to identify value-add opportunities.
  • An innovative mindset that encourages creativity and exploration of unconventional solutions in automation and AI.


Technical Proficiency

  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular), RESTful APIs, relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres), deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence stakeholders across various levels.
