Overview:

As a Flight Operations Expert, you will be responsible for assisting retail & corporate customers in planning and booking flights for their travel needs. Your primary goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate information in tabular format, excellent customer service and efficient booking services. You should be well versed in GDS, and IATA Certification will be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Assistance

  - Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email or chat.

  - Assist customers in understanding their travel options, including flight schedules, prices and available promotions/benefits

  - Provide personalized recommendations based on customers' preferences and budget.

  - Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and strive to resolve issues to their satisfaction.


2. Flight Booking & Operations

  - Utilize booking systems and online platforms to search for and reserve flights according to customers' specifications.

  - Complete knowledge of commands used in ticket issuance, cancellations, reissuance, date change and refunds.

  - Coordinate with airlines to secure reservations, confirm bookings, process payments & coordinate for refunds

  - Ensure accuracy in booking details, including passenger information, travel dates and seat preferences.

  - Stay updated on airline policies, fare rules, cancellation policy and industry regulations to provide accurate information to customers.


3. Administrative Tasks:

  - Maintain organized records of bookings, customer interactions, and payment transactions.

  - Generate and send booking confirmations, e-tickets, and invoices to customers.

  - Follow up with customers to provide additional information or assistance as needed.

  - Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the organization.


4. Sales and Promotion:

- Promote special deals, discounts and package offers to customers to maximize sales opportunities.

- Upsell additional services such as visas, travel insurance, hotel accommodations, and car rentals.

- Identify potential sales leads and follow up with prospective customers to generate new business.

- Contribute ideas for marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract more customers and increase revenue.


Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience of 2 Years in Flight Operations.

- Proficiency in using computerized reservation systems (CRS) or global distribution systems (GDS), such as Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo and NDC.

- Strong expertise in managing ADMs

- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing bookings and handling customer information.

- Knowledge of airline policies, ticketing procedures, and travel regulations is preferred.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanour.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate customer needs.


Education and Training:

- Graduate with additional education or training in travel and tourism is a plus.

- Completion of courses or certification programs in airline ticketing, reservation systems, or travel agency operations is advantageous.
