Job location - JD / JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Job Summary :

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with Developers, QA Engineers, Data Engineers and Infrastructure Engineers to support the entire development project life cycle. You will be responsible for the development of tools to assist in deployments, integrated testing, and infrastructure as code used throughout our environment. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools. You should have a passion for technology and the ability to assimilate new technology and cross-train your peers. You will be expected to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and participate in projects as assigned.

Essential Functions :

- Work hands-on with the infrastructure to assist in identifying and troubleshooting problems and assisting in the maintenance and planning of our distributed and scalable platform.

- Use and improve monitoring tools to observe infrastructure health and ensure stability and reliability.

- Collaborate with quality assurance teams, automation teams, and software developers to test new features, and distribute applications for release.

- Automate and optimize the release pipeline to make it as frictionless as possible.

- Document standards and procedures.

- Must be available for overnight and weekend on-call schedule.

Required Skills and Abilities :

- Should have experience in 3 to 5 years

- 1-2 years' experience in Linux Server administration, configuration, and networking protocols.

- Experience managing MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, or similar DB Servers.

- Proficiency with Git Version Control System.

- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and bash.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to a quickly changing list of tasks.

- Proven ability to work cross functionally and informally to achieve business objectives.

Desired Skills and Abilities :

- Experience working with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible

- Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP

- Familiarity with machine learning, analytics, and associated applications

Education and Experience :

- Computer Science Degree (preferred), or other technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
