Description:AVP Head of India Operations (equivalent to VP in other orgs)Location: MumbaiWork Mode: In OfficePosition Overview:The AVP - Head of India Operations will lead and manage the end-to-end operations of the India business, driving operational excellence, scalability, compliance, and growth. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery, strong governance, and alignment with strategic objectives.Hierarchy Note:VP roles in traditional Indian insurance companies align to the AVP level in our organization. We are therefore targeting VP-level candidates who will join as AVP Head of India Operations.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day India operations and ensure consistent delivery against KPIs and SLAs- Lead, mentor, and develop senior operations leaders and teams- Translate business strategy into effective operational execution- Drive process efficiency, transformation, and continuous improvement- Ensure compliance with IRDAI and other regulatory requirements- Own operational risk management, audits, and internal controls- Lead technology adoption and automation initiatives- Manage budgets, cost optimization, and financial performanceRequirements & Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred- Insurance certifications (e.g., IRDAI) are an advantage- 15+ years of operations experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles- Strong experience in insurance or financial services operations- Proven ability to scale operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment- Deep understanding of Indian insurance regulations and market dynamics- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills (ref:iimjobs.com)
