Role Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls, including hands-on experience in Palo Alto implementation.This role will focus on designing, deploying, and securing enterprise network environments, with a strong emphasis on firewall architecture, network segmentation, and threat prevention.The ideal candidate will have a strong security mindset and proven experience in managing complex firewall deployments across hybrid Responsibilities :- Design and implement secure network architectures using Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls.- Lead Palo Alto firewall implementations, including policy creation, NAT, threat prevention, and integration with Panorama- Configure and manage VPNs, including site-to-site and remote access (Cisco ASA / Palo Alto GlobalProtect).- Collaborate with security teams to enforce zero-trust policies, segmentation, and identity-based access.- Monitor and optimize firewall performance and security posture using tools like Panorama, Cisco Firepower, and Threat Intelligence platforms.- Conduct firewall rule audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments.- Interface with vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto) and support teams for escalations and TAC cases.- Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, firewall policies, and change logs.- Participate in DR planning, incident response, and security reviews.Required Skills & Experience :- 6+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on firewall technologies.- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks (including implementation projects).- Strong expertise in Cisco ASA, Firepower, and VPN technologies.- Solid understanding of network security principles, NAT, ACLs, IPS/IDS, and threat prevention.- Familiarity with Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Palo Alto best practices.- Experience with Cisco routing/switching is a plus.- Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP) is & Certifications :- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) preferred- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNP Security required- Additional certifications (e., CCIE, AWS/Azure Networking) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
