Description :Experience : 15+ Years (with strong leadership in AI/ML/Search)This leader will drive Search, recommendation system & Personalization charter for the Artificial Intelligence BU for a Leading Financial Services Group.Role Impact : Lead a team of search engineers, build horizontal AI capabilities, deliver large-scale ML systems in production, and create state-of-the-art search & recommendation models.Key Responsibilities :- Develop and maintain advanced search algorithms and indexing systems (text, image, and voice search).- Apply NLP, machine learning, and deep learning models to enhance search accuracy and relevance.- Implement features such as faceted search, query expansion, and personalization to improve user experience.- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable, effective solutions.- Optimize performance, ensure system reliability, and provide support for production environments.Were looking for someone who is :- A problem solver with strong technical & leadership skills- Passionate about scaling AI solutions for real-world impact- Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders & complex programs- Hands-on in coding, prototyping, and mentoring teamsDeep expertise in :- Information Retrieval (BM25, Vector search, Elastic/OpenSearch, Solr, FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone)- NLP & Language Models (Transformers, BERT, LLMOps)- Recommender Systems (Content-based, Collaborative filtering, reinforcement learning)- Personalization platforms and behavioral analytics- Hands-on coding in Python, Java/Scala or similar- Cloud-native deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP + MLOps experience- Proven leadership in managing high-scale distributed systems (ref:hirist.tech)
