As the Portfolio Presales Lead, you will be responsible for driving theoverall presales strategyfor a set of practices or a single portfolio, ensuring that each team is well-equipped to deliver outstanding, AI-driven solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping thepresales approach, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring that outcome-based pricing models and AI solutionsare integrated into all proposals. Your leadership will set the tone for how the entire portfolio approaches the presales cycle, from strategy to execution.Qualifications & Experience: Educational Qualifications: MBA (Master of Business Administration) with a focus on strategy, technology management, or related fields.Experience: Minimum 7–12 years of experiencein presales consulting, solution architecture, or a related technical field, with at least3–4 years in a leadership role . Strong hands-on experience with AI technologies such as machine learning, NLP, robotic process automation (RPA), and their application in presales. Proven ability to manage and lead multiple teams or practices, ensuring strategic alignment and successful client outcomes. Expertise in designing and implementing outcome-based pricing models across multiple client engagements. Experience in managing large-scale, complex pre-sales cycles and delivering AI-driven solutions. Strong background in client-facing roles, with the ability to influence decision-makers at the C-suite level. Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and team development.What is Expected of the Role: As the Portfolio Presales Lead, you will oversee the presales functions across multiple practices or a single portfolio, ensuring seamless coordination, execution, and strategic alignment. You will drive the presales strategy for the entire portfolio, manage a team of Presales Leads, and ensure that their teams are effectively meeting client needs and business objectives. You will also be responsible for optimizing presales processes, developing high-level strategies, and ensuring AI tools and outcome-based pricing constructs are incorporated across all presales engagements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Presales Leads , ensuring that all presales teams within the portfolio are aligned with company strategies and client needs. Oversee thecreation and delivery of AI-driven solutionsacross multiple practices or one large portfolio, ensuring that the presales approach is innovative and strategic. Design and implementoutcome-based pricing modelsacross the portfolio, ensuring they align with client success metrics. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Presales Leads, helping them to drive results and develop their skills. Act as the strategic advisor to senior leadership and key clients, driving the overall presales strategy for the portfolio. Ensure the pre-sales teams are continuously evolving by leveraging new technologies, particularly AI, to drive business outcomes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, technical, product) to align solutions with client needs and organizational capabilities. Track and measure performance across the portfolio, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Oversee client meetings, presentations, and solution development at the highest levels, ensuring successful engagement and project delivery.Skills Needed: As thePortfolio Presales Lead , you will need a combination of strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and technical expertise in AI and presales methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multiple teams, driving client success, and delivering AI-driven solutions.Key Skills: Strong leadership experience in managing multiple presales teams or practices. Deep understanding of AI technologies and their application in the services industry. Expertise in designing and implementing outcome-based pricing models across multiple projects and teams. Proven track record of strategic thinking and managing complex presales cycles. Excellent ability to mentor and coach teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs. Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. Ability to drive process optimization and continuously improve presales functions. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions for clients. Strong project management capabilities, overseeing multiple engagements at once. Ability to manage and resolve client escalations and deliver successful outcomes.Expectations for New Hires: Complete AI certification within the first few weeks to ensure foundational knowledge in AI technologies and their relevance to the services industry. Familiarize yourself with HCL Tech’s AI Force platform and understand its application across various practices in the portfolio. Engage in leadership training and management coaching to effectively lead teams and drive performance. Drive the development of outcome-based pricing models and ensure AI tools are integrated into the portfolio’s proposals
