Position:SAP MDG Functional Consultant (Material Master) Location:Bangalore(Hybrid) Duration:Full time Notice period:Immediate joiner/ Serving notice with less than 60 days/ Notice is less than 30 daysPosition Summary: We are seeking a highly capable and collaborativeSAP MDG Functional Consultantwith deep expertise inMaterial Master Dataand domain knowledge in theMedical Devices/ Life Sciencesindustry. This role will be instrumental in gathering business requirements, designing functional solutions, and supporting the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of our SAP MDG implementation.Key Responsibilities: Engage with business users to gather and analyze requirements forenhancement requestsrelated to Material Master in SAP MDG. Collaborate with developers to design optimal, scalable functional solutions while ensuring alignment with business operations and regulatory requirements. Providefunctional expertiseto Business end user teams, helping them understand system behavior and business logic. Support theMDG AMS teamby offering thought leadership and guidance to resolve functional tickets and service requests. Conductfunctional testingfor system enhancements and defect fixes to ensure quality and compliance. Document functional specifications, test scenarios, and process flows to support change management and knowledge sharing. Understands how Material Master from MDG will be used by downstream SAP S4 ERP processes in general cases. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in master data governance.Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, with at least 2+ years focused onSAP MDG – Material Master . Strong understanding ofmaterial master data structures , governance processes, and lifecycle management. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional designs and specifications. Familiarity withBRF+ , MDG workflows, and integration with SAP ERP systems (DRF). Solid understanding of how material master data is consumed indownstream SAP processes(e.g., Order to Cash, Warehouse management). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex system behavior to non-technical stakeholders. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Preferred Qualifications: Domain experience in theMedical Devices or Life Sciencesindustry, with knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (GxP). Experience withSAP S/4HANA ,Fiori-based MDG applications , andWeb Dynpro . SAP MDG certification is a plus. Experience working in a validated environment.
