Job Title : DataStage Developer

Experience : 5+ years

Location : Pune/Nagpur (WFO)

Notice Period - Immediate to 20 days

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage according to specifications.

- Enhance and optimize existing DataStage jobs for performance and scalability.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures; perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.

- Support production DataStage jobs, ensuring smooth execution of scheduled data loads.

- Develop and test new DataStage jobs for integration into the data warehouse.

- Collaborate with business analysts, data modelers, and other developers to ensure robust ETL design.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and solutions.

- Deploy DataStage jobs to test and production environments.

- Monitor job execution and proactively address performance or data quality issues.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DataStage development (design, build, test, deploy, and support).

- Strong SQL skills and good exposure to stored procedures, performance tuning, and debugging.

- Experience with ETL workflows, job sequencing, and scheduling tools.

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, SCD, data marts, staging).

- Familiarity with job monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus.

- Exposure to version control tools (Git/SVN) and CI/CD practices is desirable.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
