Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive transition strategy, aligning with the overall business objectives and the new operating model.
  • Project Planning: In coordination with the EDAA PMO lead, lead the development of the overall plan for the EDAA transition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to the transition.
  • Talent Transition: Oversee the talent transition process, including workforce planning, talent assessment, and redeployment. In addition, partner with stakeholders (e.g., Legal, HR) to account for McDonald's HR policies, as well as local policies, in terms of planning for all talent related transitions.
  • Roles Placement: Identify the critical/redundant jobs and develop/support the execution of the job sourcing plan to achieve the business objectives
  • Knowledge Transfer: Define the to-be skills/knowledge requirements for the affected workforce and the characteristics of the current workforce and oversee KT
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges throughout the transition process.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Understand org design requirements and define the Key Performance Indicators that are critical for quality tracking and evaluation of organization design implementation
  • Post-Transition Evaluation: Conduct a post-implementation review to assess the effectiveness of the transition and identify lessons learned.
  • Corporate Impact - Plays a key role in setting the functional strategy of a corporate function and executes that strategy to drive the operational direction of a sub-function
  • Level of Skill - Negotiate important agreements that have long-term, strategic implications for the entire organization
  • Primary Audience – Internal or External
  • Nature of Interaction - Engages in communication with individuals who possess varying perspectives and objectives that are divergent, potentially hindering the achievement of a solution
  • Level of Skill – Develop truly new concepts or methods that break new grounds
  • Complexity - Innovation is multi-dimensional; solutions to problems and issues have a direct impact on all dimensions (operational, financial, human capital)
  • Knowledge - Requires broad and substantive management experiences across several business areas
  • Teams – Directs one people manager and some individual contributors, determines team structure and roles of members
  • Geographic Breadth - Multiple continental regions

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Business Administration, IT or related field.
  • Organization Change Experience: 5+ years of experience with organizational design, talent management and implementation of new organizational structures for a large-scale transformation
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years in management role with demonstrated experience leading and implementing transformation initiatives across geographies, with the ability to drive and manage organizational change
  • Influence: 5+ years influencing and leading in indirect, global matrix-based and virtual environments to build partnerships, drive alignment and make decisions
  • Project Management: Experience leading cross functional global projects that require managing a variety of stakeholders
  • Communication Skills: Strong, professional interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
