Job Summary:

Carrus Mobility is looking for a talented and experienced CAD Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing, modeling, and validating mechanical systems, with a keen eye for detail and precision. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects, including advanced cold-chain logistics solutions and sustainable mobility innovations.


Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
  • Create and modify 3D models and detailed drawings using software like SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD.
  • Develop high-precision designs for mechanical and structural components, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Prototyping & Validation
  • Work on prototype development and testing to validate design feasibility.
  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to optimize mechanical designs.
  • Identify and resolve design inconsistencies or inefficiencies.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, part lists, and assembly instructions.
  • Generate detailed reports to communicate progress and findings to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art CAD techniques and tools to enhance design capabilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement in current designs and propose innovative solutions.


Skills and QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in CAD design, preferably in industrial, automotive, or mobility-related projects.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
Preferred
  • Experience in cold-chain logistics, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
  • Certifications in advanced CAD tools or related areas.
  • Knowledge of standards like ASME, ISHRAE, ASHRAE, BIS, ISO, or DIN.
