Carrefour, a leading global retailer, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to enhance our product sourcing and order execution processes in India. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure the procurement of high-quality products that meet customer requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser.
  • Guide suppliers in product development, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and aesthetic requirements from the business unit.
  • Ensure timely submission of samples and quotations to the business unit, managing price negotiations by challenging key cost components such as materials, consumption, and trims.
  • Carry forward product development and approval steps to secure final validation from buyers.
  • Ensure timely submission of marketing and advertising samples to the business unit.
  • Perform various reporting and data management tasks in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams to address any quality and shipment issues.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; preference for Textile Studies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a merchandising position, preferably in the textile industry with a focus on knit products.
  • Proficient in both oral and written English.
