The ideal candidate will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing production processes, includingdistillation, refining, and drying systems . The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a solid understanding of food safety and audit compliance.Key Responsibilities:1. Production Operations·Oversee daily production activities for the manufacture of lecithin, phospholipids, and related products (powders, liquids). ·Monitor and control process parameters fordistillation, solvent extraction, evaporation, spray drying, and filtration . ·Ensure production targets, yield levels, and product specifications are consistently met. ·Troubleshoot process deviations and provide immediate corrective actions. 2. Process Improvement & Efficiency·Assist in optimizing operational processes to improve product quality and reduce waste. ·Implement lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement initiatives. ·Support scaling-up of new products developed by the R&D team. ·Monitor plant utilities, equipment performance, and throughput efficiency. 3. Quality, Food Safety & Compliance·Ensure strict compliance withFSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO , and customer-specific quality standards. ·Assist in preparation and execution ofinternal and external food safety audits . ·Verify raw material quality, in-process checks, and finished product specifications. ·Work closely with QC/QA to maintain product consistency and documentation accuracy. 4. Equipment & Maintenance·Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance. ·Ensure proper functioning and calibration of equipment involved in production, especially: oDistillation units oSolvent extraction systems oDryers (spray dryers, flash dryers) oBlenders and mixing equipment ·Ensure safe handling of chemicals and solvents in the production environment. 5. Team Management & Training·Supervise production staff, operators, and shift teams to ensure safe and efficient operations. ·Provide training on SOPs, GMP practices, safety procedures, and process controls. ·Monitor workforce productivity and enforce disciplinary and safety policies. 6. Reporting & Documentation·Prepare daily production reports, downtime analysis, yield reports, and batch documentation. ·Coordinate material planning with the supply chain and inventory teams. ·Maintain proper records for audits, traceability, and plant inspections.Key Skills & Technical Expertise:·Strong experience inlecithin and phospholipid production(powders and liquids). ·Knowledge ofchemical processing, distillation, and solvent extraction systems . ·Understanding offood safety regulations , audit requirements, and compliance standards. ·Familiarity with plant utilities (boilers, chillers, compressors, vacuum systems). ·Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. ·Excellent communication and documentation skills.Qualifications:·Bachelor’s degree inChemical Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Chemistry , or related field. ·Minimum10 years of experiencein Food / Chemical / Solvent Extraction plants. ·Proven experience in managing or supervising production operations.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):·Achievement of production targets ·Reduction in downtime and waste ·Audit performance and food safety compliance ·Product yield and quality consistency ·Team performance and training effectiveness ·Efficiency of distillation and extraction processesCompany Website:https://www.amitexindia.com Working Days:Mon to Sat(Work from Office)Regards, Head HR Email ID- hr@amitexindia.com Mumbai
