Lead Frontend Engineer | Next.js / React

Sydney - Hybrid

$180k - $200k + super

You’ll be joining a high-performing, values-driven engineering organisation that’s investing heavily in technology transformation. The business is moving from a legacy platform to a modern, decoupled architecture and you’ll play a central role in shaping that future from the frontend perspective. You’ll partner with the Head of Engineering, CIO and Design System Lead and collaborate with senior product leaders, and guide a distributed team of talented engineers. Together, you’ll create an environment that thrives on collaboration, quality, and speed.

What impact will I make?

  • Own the technical direction for a greenfield React/Next.js platform that underpins a high-growth online business.

  • Set engineering standards across multiple squads, influencing how modern frontend systems are delivered at scale.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including C-level leaders, ensuring technical decisions drive both performance and business results.

  • Mentor and grow engineers, ensuring consistency, speed, and quality across local and offshore teams.
