Job Title : Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer (6-Month Contract with Option to Go Permanent).Location : Sydney, NSW (Hybrid).About The Role :We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer with a proven track record in end-to-end ERP solution delivery.The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, customizing, and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Wiise) to support core business processes across finance, property, procurement, and asset management.Youll be responsible for building scalable extensions, integrating third-party applications, and enabling automation through modern Microsoft and Azure technologies.This is an initial 6-month contract, with a strong view to transition into a permanent position based on performance and project outcomes.Key Responsibilities :ERP Development & Customization :- Develop, configure, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL and C/AL.- Implement new modules and workflows to support Finance, Property, Procurement, and Lease Management.- Design and deploy extensions, reports, pages, tables, and queries aligned with business requirements.- Customize Wise extensions, reports (RDLC, Word layouts), and automate processes using Power Platform and BC APIs.Integration & Data Management :- Build and manage APIs, connectors, and data flows between BC and other enterprise applications.- Work with middleware tools such as Workato or Power Automate for system integrations.- Participate in data migration, cleansing, and transformation from legacy systems using RapidStart or PowerShell scripts.- Support integration of add-ons like Soft4RealEstate, Continia Document Capture, ezyCollect, and Sharperlight reporting.Testing, Release & Support :- Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.- Manage deployments across Dev, Test, and Production environments.- Provide post-deployment support and knowledge transfer to functional and support teams.Collaboration & Documentation :- Work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders.- Produce technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and change logs.- Participate in sprint reviews, backlog grooming, and cross-team design workshops.Required Skills & Experience :- Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in ERP development, including at least 5+ years in Dynamics NAV / D365 Business Central.Technical Skills :- Strong proficiency in AL, C/AL, Visual Studio Code, and VS AL Extensions.- Experience with page extensions, event subscribers, codeunits, and custom API development.- Skilled in report design (RDLC, Word layouts, Jet Reports, or Power BI).- Familiarity with Wiise or Soft4RealEstate add-ons preferred.- Strong understanding of Azure DevOps, Git, and release pipelines.Integration Knowledge :- Proficient in REST, OData, JSON, and API page setup.- Experience integrating Business Central with third-party solutions (e., payment gateways, CRM, data warehouses).Functional Knowledge :- Deep understanding of Finance, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, Lease Management, and Procurement modules.- Experience with IFRS 16 / AASB 16 lease accounting compliance.- Knowledge of Australian tax (GST/BAS) and multi-entity financials.Soft Skills :- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Proven track record working in agile project (Preferred) :- Microsoft Certified : Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant (MB-800).- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).Engagement Details :- Contract Term : 6 Months (view to permanent).- Start Date : Immediate.- Location : Sydney (Hybrid working).- Engagement Type : Full-time.About Softobiz :Innovation begins with like-minded people aiming to transform the world together.We invite you to become a part of an organization that has been helping clients transform their business by fusing insights, creativity, and technology.At Softobiz, we embrace a diverse mix of talented people who come here to stay and do their best work.Softobiz, a team of 250+ technology enthusiasts have been trusted by the leading enterprises around the globe for last 15+ years.At Softobiz, we transform passionate individuals into proficient professionals dedicated to exploring new frontiers in Software development.
