You’ll play a key role inbuilding modern, scalable software systems from the ground up , shaping the future offan engagement and digital innovationin global sport. We’re looking for acollaborative and hands-on engineerwho thrives on solving complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions. You’ll lead by example—writing clean, maintainable code while fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and innovation.Key Responsibilities Writeclean, efficient, and reusable backend codefollowing best practices and coding standards. Lead and influencetechnical design, architecture, and backend development of digital projects. Work closely withEngineering Managers, Product Managers, and Frontend teamsto define and deliver robust technical solutions. Set updevelopment frameworksfor automation, CI/CD, release management, and code quality. Providetechnical mentorship and guidanceto mid- and junior-level engineers. Be achampion of developer experience , always seeking to improve efficiency and maintainability. Promote ablameless culture of learning , code review, and technical excellence. Stay up to date withemerging backend technologiesand best practices, particularly in sports and digital innovation. Requirements 5+ years of software engineering experience , with at least2 years in a lead or senior backend role . Strong hands-on experience withNode.js ,JavaScript , andTypeScript . Solid understanding ofdatabase systems , including: Document-based:MongoDB Relational:MySQLorPostgreSQL Familiarity withfrontend frameworks(React, Angular, or Vue.js) and RESTful API design. Strong grasp ofsoftware architecture principlesanddesign patternsfor scalable systems. Understanding ofDevOps culture , including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments (AWS or similar). Excellent communication skills and the ability tocollaborate across teamsand stakeholders. Acontinuous learnerwith a growth mindset, eager to improve both technically and professionally. Nice to Have ABachelor’s or Master’s degreein Computer Science or equivalent field. Experience working insports, media, or digital fan engagementplatforms. Exposure tomicroservices architectureorserverless computing .
