Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Photography to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in product photography, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of photographers and assistants. This role requires a strategic thinker who can elevate our photography department to new heights, ensuring that our visual content aligns with the brand’s objectives and meets the highest standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Photography Excellence:

Oversee and execution of all product photography, ensuring images are of the highest quality and align with client and company standards.

Collaborate with art directors, marketing teams, and clients to understand their vision and product requirements.

Maintain consistency in style, lighting, and composition across all projects.

  • Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of photographers, assistants, and stylists, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Coordinate team schedules to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.

  • Strategic Planning and Innovation:

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the photography department’s capabilities and output.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product photography.

Recommend and implement innovative techniques and equipment upgrades to keep the photography team at the forefront of the industry.

  • Equipment and Studio Management:

Oversee the maintenance, organization, and procurement of photography equipment and studio space.

Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and studio spaces are conducive to high-quality photography.

  • Post-Production and Editing:

Collaborate closely with post-production teams to ensure image retouching and editing meet project requirements and brand standards.

Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure final images are flawless.

  • Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular quality checks on all photographic outputs to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations.

Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills, preferably in the beauty and cosmetic industry.
  • Extensive leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a creative team.
  • Proficiency in using advanced photography equipment and editing software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative problem solver with a passion for innovation and excellence in product photography.
