At Own The Story, we're building tools that power social impact. We're a non-profit on a mission to bridge the opportunity gap for underprivileged students through mentorship, guidance, and inspiration. Behind every student is a story—and we want the world to see it.

What You'll Build

  • LLM-powered developer tools using LangChain, FastAPI, and Vector DBs (Pinecone etc)
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines with embeddings, chunking, and similarity search
  • Smart workflows with persistent memory (Redis, in-memory caching, or custom layers)
  • Modular APIs that are async, fast, and production-ready
  • End-to-end features — from prompt engineering to deploying in Docker/CI/CD pipelines

What You Bring

  • Strong Python skills, with hands-on FastAPI experience (async endpoints, dependency injection, modular project structure)
  • Knowledge of LangChain, LLMs, and Vector DBs (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, or FAISS)
  • Comfort with stateful/memory systems (Redis, Postgres JSONB, or custom context persistence)
  • Familiarity with Docker and Git-based CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of Postgres schema design and migrations

Bonus: Frontend experience with React + Tailwind (or the ability to fake it fast)
