Job Summary:

As the Head of Supply Chain Management at Cosmos Pumps Pvt Ltd, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations. With a robust background of 12-20 years in supply chain management, you will lead a team to enhance procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in streamlining processes, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our high-quality pump solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Develop initiatives to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
  1. Procurement Oversight:
  • Direct procurement functions, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and secure advantageous terms.
  1. Logistics and Distribution Management:
  • Oversee logistics and distribution operations to ensure efficient, on-time delivery of products.
  • Implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and enhance distribution efficiency.
  1. Inventory Control:
  • Design and implement inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand, minimizing excess stock while avoiding stock outs.
  • Monitor and analyse inventory metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet changing business needs.
  1. Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain management team, setting clear performance goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide training and support to enhance team capabilities and drive performance improvements.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Utilize data analytics to track supply chain performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments, including manufacturing, sales, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • 12-20 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including at least 8 years in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex supply chain operations and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive change and foster a high-performance team environment.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, forecasting tools).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the capability to interpret data and generate strategic insights.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
