Job Description :


Key Responsibilities :


Tableau Expertise & Dashboard Development :


- Lead the design and development of interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop, ensuring optimal performance, usability, and visual appeal.

- Publish and manage workbooks and data sources on Tableau Server/Cloud, controlling access and maintaining governance protocols.

- Implement row-level security and user filters for personalized dashboard experiences.

Advanced Tableau Techniques :


- Create complex visualizations using Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, calculated fields, and Tableau actions (filters, highlights, parameters).

- Utilize data blending, joins, unions, and relationships to integrate and transform multi-source data effectively.

- Apply advanced charting techniques (e.g., Sankey, spider charts, KPI dashboards) to convey insights with impact.

- Use Tableau Prep for data cleaning, shaping, and flow automation prior to dashboard development.

SQL & Data Analysis :


- Write advanced SQL queries to extract, join, and analyze large datasets from multiple data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL).

- Optimize SQL scripts for performance and accuracy, using CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and dynamic SQL as needed.

Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement :


- Act as a data consultant by gathering business requirements, analyzing user needs, and translating them into actionable Tableau solutions.

- Collaborate with business units, product owners, and data teams to ensure dashboards address key KPIs and metrics.

Data Integration & ETL Collaboration :


- Work closely with ETL developers and data engineers to integrate disparate data sources into a unified data layer for reporting.

- Validate and reconcile data between Tableau and source systems to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.

Project & Delivery Management :


- Manage multiple BI/reporting projects simultaneously, balancing short-term needs with long-term solutions.

- Develop documentation, versioning standards, and training materials to support Tableau governance and end-user adoption.

Problem-Solving & Communication :


- Provide root-cause analysis of dashboard performance issues or data mismatches.

- Deliver presentations and walkthroughs to both technical and non-technical audiences, simplifying complex data concepts.
