GCP Architect

This is a full-time remote role for a GCP Architect who will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based architectural solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including:creating custom architectural designsintegrating systems and applicationsprivate networkingstrict IAM, hardened compute, audited operationscontrolled artifact flowIAM, custom roles, service accounts, least-privilege accessVPC Service Controls (perimeters, access levels, egress controls)Vertex AI / containerized training: runtime SA isolation, job execution policies, secure artifact registry usageAudit & monitoring: Cloud Audit Logs → BigQuery, alerting on suspicious access patternsData & artifact protection: bucket policies, path scoping, controlled write-only patterns, retention/immutability strategy (when appropriate)Network isolation: private subnets, no public egress, controlled endpointsIdentity Broker / workload identity federationPractical runbooks + handover docs (console + IaC where possible) - runbooks for secure vendor/contractor onboardingThis is not a generic cloud architect role—this is security-first process.QualificationsExpertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, including designing cloud-based infrastructure on GCP.Ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex cloud projects effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of GCP tools and resources, as well as cloud security and compliance best practices.Relevant certification in GCP architecture. Hands-on GCP security + MLOps implementation (not just diagrams)Vertex AI custom training / Workbench/Compute hardening experienceVPC Service Controls + private networking experienceStrong IAM design: multiple service accounts, workload identity / runtime SA separationAudit logging + alerting implementation experience
