PHP Developer

Position Overview:

PHP Full Stack Developer (Symfony, TDD, AWS)

The PHP Full Stack Developer will work on creating robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The role requires strong proficiency in PHP, particularly within the Symfony framework, a deep understanding of test-driven development (TDD) principles, and experience with AWS for cloudbased solutions. This role is essential to driving innovation and delivering quality software aligned with best practices in modern web development and cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and the Symfony framework.

• Implement clean, maintainable code using best practices and TDD methodology to ensure highquality software.

• Develop both frontend and backend components, optimizing for performance and scalability.

2. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of applications.

• Use TDD to guide feature development, identifying and resolving bugs early in the process.

• Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with AWS services.

3. AWS Cloud Management

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.

• Optimize AWS resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.

• Integrate AWS services with Symfony applications to enhance application functionality.

4. Collaboration & Agile Methodology

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers.

• Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment and operational efficiencies.

5. Documentation & Best Practices

• Document code, features, and application flows for future reference and maintenance.

• Adhere to best practices in PHP development, Symfony framework standards, and AWS security protocols.

Required Skills & Experience:

• PHP & Symfony: Advanced experience with PHP, specifically the Symfony framework.

• Test-Driven Development: Strong understanding of TDD principles and experience in writing unit and integration tests.

• Frontend Proficiency: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React for full-stack capabilities.

• AWS Expertise: Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS.

• Version Control: Experience with Git, GitLab, or similar version control systems.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and tools, particularly for AWS deployments

• Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, jQuery, VueJS, ReactJs, HTML5, and CSS3

• Understanding of MVC design patterns

• Understanding accessibility and security compliance HIPPA, GDPR

• Strong knowledge of MYSQL Database, database normal forms and ORM

• Docker: Familiarity with Docker for containerized applications and microservices architecture is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field

• Certification or hands-on experience in AWS and/or Symfony.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization is best practices.

• Knowledge of GitLab for source code management and continuous integration.
