Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Lead to oversee the execution of a comprehensive telecom infrastructure project. The role involves end-to-end management, from planning and execution to quality assurance and stakeholder coordination. The Project Lead will supervise all aspects of the project, including team management, resource allocation, and financial oversight, ensuring that targets are met within stipulated timelines and budgets.


Key Responsibilities


Project Planning & Execution

Develop and implement a detailed project execution plan, encompassing tasks like physical surveys, Row acquisition, material movement, trenching, fiber laying, splicing, and electronics installation.

Establish clear milestones and ensure the timely achievement of targets.


Team Leadership

Lead and manage supervisors, agencies, and field teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Coordinate machinery, manpower, and material resources effectively.


Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with local/state authorities, and stakeholders to secure necessary permissions (RoW) and approvals.

Act as the primary point of contact for addressing challenges with external stakeholders, including TPA and BSNL.


Financial Management

Monitor and optimize project budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.

Oversee team salaries, vendor payments, and financial documentation for the project.


Quality Assurance & Documentation

Ensure accuracy in survey data, infrastructure design, and as-built diagrams (ABD).

Oversee videography, photography, and detailed project reporting (DPR).

Conduct acceptance testing in coordination with TPA to ensure compliance with technical standards.


Field Operations Management

Supervise activities like trenching, fiber blowing, splicing, and installation of route/joint indicators and chambers.

Manage material movement, unloading/loading, and timely delivery to project sites.

Required Skills & Qualifications


Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure, including fiber optic networks, trenching, and splicing.

Familiarity with electronics installation (routers, switches, power systems) is a must.


Project Management Skills

Ability to manage large-scale telecom/infra projects from initiation to completion.

Leadership & Communication

Proven track record of managing diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making

Ability to address on-ground challenges swiftly and effectively.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.


Preferred Experience

Prior experience in government projects like BharatNet or similar large-scale telecom projects.

Familiarity with RoW processes and stakeholder management in local/district/state authorities.

Experience with logistics management, including material movement and warehouse operations.
