Role Summary

You will play a critical role in enhancing and modernizing the database layer of the system. This includes developing and optimizing complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages, as well as supporting database migration and data integrity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for business-critical processes.

Optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.

Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless data access and transaction integrity.

Lead database migration activities from legacy systems to Oracle19c or AWS RDS.

Implement data validation logic, business rules, and constraints within the database layer.

Support data synchronization and ETL processes between source and target systems.

Document database schema changes, migration scripts, and rollback procedures.

Assist in data quality checks and error logging during migration and production runs.

Required Skills & Experience

-8 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

Proficiency in Oracle12c and Oracle19c databases.

Strong knowledge of SQL tuning, cursor optimization, exception handling, and transaction control.

Experience with database migration tools

Familiarity with database design principles, normalization, and data modelling.

Experience in writing reusable, modular, and maintainable PL/SQL code.

Working knowledge of version control (Git) and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Oracle SQL.

Exposure to cloud-based Oracle databases (AWS RDS Oracle).

Understanding of database security, auditing, and row-level security.
