Job Title : SAP Basis Administrator (S/4HANA & ECC).Experience : 5 + Years.Location : Bangalore, India.Immediate Joiners Only.Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and proactive SAP Basis Administrator to manage and support our SAP technical landscape, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA, ECC and associated systems.The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of SAP systems (ABAP and Java stacks), databases and operating systems.This role requires strong hands-on technical skills, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to drive SAP change and transport management.Key Responsibilities : - Implement, configure, monitor, tune and troubleshoot SAP technical environments (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PO, MII, SolMan, etc.- Manage SAP HANA and SQL/Oracle databases, including backups, restores, patching, and performance optimization.- Plan and execute SAP installations, upgrades, system refreshes, client copies, and migrations (including S/4HANA conversions/upgrades).- Administer and schedule SAP transports using CTS/CTS+ and coordinate transport activities across development, QA and production landscapes.- Design and maintain interfaces between SAP and external systems (middleware, third-party integrations).- Proactively analyze and resolve performance issues across application servers, databases, and network components.- Manage Linux and Windows OS support tasks for SAP systems including patch management and system hardening.- Configure and manage SAP security artifacts like certificates, SNC, and SSL configurations.- Maintain SAP job scheduling (SM37), background processing and job automation.- Use monitoring tools (Solution Manager, DB monitoring tools, SAP CCMS, J2EE monitoring) to ensure system health and availability.- Lead CAB (Change Advisory Board) calls, review and approve SAP change requests and coordinate downtime/maintenance windows.- Liaise with functional teams, developers, DBAs, network, storage and backup teams to ensure smooth operations and project deliveries.- Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge-base articles.- Implement automation and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools for build/deploy and operational tasks.- Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, failover testing and high-availability (HA) configurations.Technical Skills & Experience (Mandatory)- Minimum 5+ years of core SAP Basis experience supporting production environments.- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, BW, PO, and related SAP components.- In-depth knowledge of HANA, Oracle and SQL Server databases and their administration for SAP landscapes.- Experience with ABAP and JAVA stacks, and related monitoring tools.- Expertise in Transport Management (CTS, CTS+), Client Management, Job Management and OSS notes handling.- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools (CCMS, DB monitors, HANA Studio / HANA Cockpit).- Solid exposure to Linux and Windows server administration, patching and troubleshooting for SAP systems.- Practical experience with SAP installations, system refreshes, upgrades, and S/4HANA migrations.- Proficient in certificate management (SSL, SNC) within SAP systems.- Performance tuning experience for application servers and databases.Desirable / Added Advantage : - Scripting knowledge : PowerShell, JSON manipulation, Bash scripting for automation.- Familiarity with BODS, TREX, LiveCache, OpenText, Lumira, and SaaS connectors.- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins or other CI/CD and automation tools.- Experience with Cloud-hosted SAP landscapes (Azure / AWS / GCP) and infrastructure-as-code practices.Education & Certifications- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- SAP Certification in Basis Administration or related SAP Certifications preferred.Interested candidates can share Updated profile on & Regards.Afreen Saranya.- - - - - - - (ref:hirist.tech)
