Purpose of the Job: Organize finance support for the DDII office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget development and financial forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis: Identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
  • Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and manage reserves.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Oversee invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Audit and Compliance: Assist with audits and ensure financial compliance.
  • Fixed Assets Reporting: Manage asset reporting and compliance.
  • Foreign Remittance: Handle foreign remittance processes.
  • Gratuity Trust Maintenance: Liaise with LIC Gratuity Trust for fund management.
  • TDS and GST Management: Manage returns, compliance, and documentation.
  • Record-keeping: Maintain financial records and reports.
  • Financial Systems: Optimize financial systems for accuracy.
  • Risk Management: Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Notice Management: Respond to income tax notices and queries.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on tax regulations and assist in return filing.
  • Line Management: Supervise finance staff and ensure deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments on strategic initiatives.
  • Ad hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as needed.

Decisions:

  • Acquire finance software within budget.
  • Allocate team responsibilities.
  • Disallow inappropriate expenses.
  • Ensure proper bookkeeping and internal controls.
  • Frame expense booking guidelines.

Contacts:

  • Finance Manager: Daily updates and escalations.
  • Office Coordinators: Bi-weekly coordination.
  • Staff Members: Fortnightly support.
  • Banks: Incidental transactions and account management.
  • Suppliers: Monthly/Incidental invoice confirmation.
  • Auditors: Quarterly/Yearly audit queries.

Resources:

  • Manage financial documents, petty cash, and credit cards.
  • Handle electronic bank transfers.

Planning & Organising:

  • Ensure timely book closing and compliance.
  • Quality assurance for accounting tasks.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Post-graduate in finance/accounting with 3-5 years experience.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, advanced Excel, and Tally ERP 9.
  • Proficient in English and Hindi.
  • Detail-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Occasional travel for finance issues.
  • Ensure information confidentiality.
