Job Description :
As a Part-Time DSpace Developer , your primary focus will be on the Spring Boot backend development for our DSpace applications. You will leverage your Java expertise to build robust backend solutions while collaborating with front-end developers working with Angular . This role is key to ensuring that our DSpace framework remains efficient, scalable, and up to date.
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain the backend of DSpace applications using Spring Boot and Java .
Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate Angular with the back-end seamlessly.
Implement and optimize features, APIs, and integrations in a way that ensures performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for maximum efficiency.
Contribute to the overall architecture, ensuring it aligns with best practices and project goals.
Participate in code reviews, sharing knowledge and enhancing team collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications :
Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Java .
Familiarity with DSpace or similar repository systems is a plus.
Experience in developing RESTful APIs , integrating databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and working with web technologies.
Proven ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Solid understanding of software architecture principles and patterns.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
