Who we are: We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru . We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defense forces. We are undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT's product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system. Title : Sr. Manager Business Finance. Roles and Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis:- Develop, oversee and enforce the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.- Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.- Collaborate with department heads to create departmental budgets and ensure alignment with overall organizational goals.- Evaluate financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes is desirable. Financial Reporting and Compliance:.- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to stakeholders, including management, board of directors, and external parties.- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.- Oversee internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.- Coordinate and manage external audits and examinations. Strategic Financial Management:- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to support business objectives and ensure financial integrity. Team Leadership and Development:- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal utilization of resources. Stakeholder / Banking Relationship Management:- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Serve as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and communications.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives. Financial Systems and Technology:- Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.- Stay current with advancements in financial technology and recommend innovations to improve financial operations. Special Projects and Initiatives:.- Lead or participate in special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management.- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the organization. Key skills to have:.- Knowledge of Indian GAAP, including IndAS.- Timely closure of books every month and Investor reporting.- Experience in cash flow and working capital management.- Effective implementation of processes.- Experience in managing Big 4 auditors.- Experience in implementation of ERP. Team management experience:.- Should have managed a team of at least 5-10 employees. Qualifications and Experience:.- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.- CA qualification is mandatory.- CS, CPA, CFA CMA are a plus.- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.- Experience in Manufacturing / Engineering organizations is a plus.- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.- Understanding of US GAAP and Indian GAAP, including IndAS accounting standards.- Strategic thinking and business acumen.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
