Job summary

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you will be part of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering reliable technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will acquire valuable experience while contributing to impactful solutions that align with the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for technology products and systems Writes secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation value Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to support secure, stable application development Learns and applies system processes and methodologies for developing secure, stable code and systems Adds to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficient in coding in one or more languages Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Exposure to Databricks and Python Experience with Spark, Kafka, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS) Knowledge of Databricks for data engineering solutions
