Role Overview:


As a Product Designer Intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on an early-stage Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) product. This role is ideal for someone who has strong analytical and creative skills and is excited about building products from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our product team to explore and shape design concepts, create intuitive user flows, and drive a user-centered approach to product design.


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the design of a brand-new D2C product, starting from ideation through prototyping and user testing.
  • Assist in conducting competitive analysis, user research, and gathering insights to inform product design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex ideas into clean, intuitive user experiences for a D2C audience.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual design assets using tools like Figma or Sketch, iterating based on feedback and user testing.
  • Work through challenging design and interaction problems with an innovative approach, balancing user needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers, effectively presenting and refining designs.
  • Help document design rationale, user flows, and interaction patterns to build a cohesive, scalable design system for the product.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing creativity, problem-solving, and examples of product design work.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret user research, competitive analysis, and data to inform design strategies.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinking: Strong visual and UX design skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically about product design.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in design tools like Figma. Experience with prototyping tools like InVision or Principle is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Adaptability & Curiosity: Open to feedback and excited to learn in a fast-paced, early-stage product environment.
