About the Team:

Mandatory Skills:

● 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.

● Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and ensure their stability, reliability, and performance.

● Implement and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery.

● Monitor SQL Server performance and troubleshoot performance issues.

● Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements

● Perform database Hotfix, Patching and Service Pack upgrade to keep the MSSQL database up to date.

● Perform database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, security management, and database optimization. ● Proficiency in T-SQL programming and performance tuning.

● Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders

Monitor database performance, ensure high availability, and implement backup and recovery strategies using AWS tools and services.

● Collaborate with development teams to optimise database schema, queries, and performance.

● Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.

● Design, deploy, and manage MySQL database systems on the AWS platform.

● Install, configure, and optimise AWS Aurora/RDS for MySQL instances.

● Manage security, access control, and user permissions for AWS RDS instances.

● Manage and optimise database performance by utilising AWS database monitoring tools and services, such as Amazon CloudWatch and AWS Database Performance Insights.

● Perform database Major version upgrades from MySQL Aurora v5.7 to v8.0 and patching to keep the database infrastructure up-to-date with the latest MySQL and AWS releases.

Stay updated with AWS database technologies, best practices, and security standards.

● Understanding of AWS services and concepts, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon DMS, S3 Bucket or AWS Backups.
