About Leap

Leap is a non-custodial, inter‑chain "super wallet" with 1M+ installs across extension, mobile, and web platforms. Its product suite includes MetaMask Snap for Cosmos, Compass Wallet for Sei, and Elements SDK. The team is launching a 0→1 APAC‑focused stablecoin payments initiative, tapping into strong market pull and early customer traction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead backend development for web and mobile applications in the stablecoin stack
  • Design and scale backend systems for payments and settlements
  • Build robust infrastructure atop fragmented on/off‑ramp integrations
  • Define architecture, lead technical discussions, and own system robustness
  • Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers
  • Ensure security, scalability, and regulatory readiness
  • Establish engineering best practices and delivery timelines

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js and API design
  • Prior exposure to fintech or payments (strongly preferred)
  • Track record of integrating external APIs across geographies
  • Leadership experience in scaling early‑stage, ambiguous systems
  • Startup DNA: takes ownership, ships fast, thrives amid ambiguity
