About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable high-quality data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure smooth data flow, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

- Work with large-scale datasets to ensure accuracy, quality, and accessibility.

- Implement and manage data lake/data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

- Optimize data workflows, pipelines, and storage for performance and cost efficiency.

- Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, BI, Product, Engineering) to support business needs.

- Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 4- 8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer.

- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Spark/PySpark.

- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi).

- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services (S3, EMR, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, Synapse).

- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.

- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to real-time data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).

- Experience with machine learning pipelines and feature engineering platforms.

- Familiarity with BI/analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
