Role DescriptionScitara is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Engineer – Software Quality Automation to join our Product Development team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and test solutions that ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of Scitara’s products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases in an agile environment.Key Responsibilities- Identify automation scope for the test scenarios. - Able to work independently on the automation framework - Work with Quality Engineers, peer development, automation, UX engineers and architects to ensure quality. - Development of test harnesses, integration and regression testing scripts - Performance and security testing of the application - Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospectives. - Maintain compliance towards corporate policies on information security, confidentiality of data, and privacy of data. - Independently scope flexible technical solutions by anticipating technical uncertainties. - Available for escalations, support, knowledge sharing, and triage. - Guide and mentor junior Quality Engineers. - Effectively communicate complex technical issues to a cross-functional audience - Document work proactively. - Participate in the hiring process and deliver clear and concise feedback on candidates.Ideal CandidateEducational QualificationsBachelor/Master of Engineering or equivalent in Computer Engineering, IT or related fieldExperience- 7+ years of test automation experience including testing of applications built on the Node Js - Experience in JavaScript Mocha based frameworks, Cypress.io, Playwright or Selenium, API and WebSocket testing using Postman - Experience in agile software development lifecycle - Experience in Atlassian suite of tools - Experience in informatics applications or GxP compliant applications is preferred - Experience in development and execution of validation test casesDesired Skills- Knowledge of working with cloud frameworks (AWS, Azure, GCP), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis) - Knowledge of test management tools - Good understanding of OOPS concepts - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Join Us?- Join a fast-growing, globally recognized platform revolutionizing lab connectivity within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. - Collaborate with industry-leading experts and innovative thinkers, gaining exposure to some of the brightest minds driving scientific progress worldwide. - Contribute directly to impactful scientific innovation, enabling breakthroughs that accelerate research and development on a global scale. - Work at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven laboratory automation and advanced integration solutions. - Be part of a transformative movement toward ‘smart labs’, leveraging artificial intelligence and automation to redefine how laboratories operate. - Engage in projects that shape the future of pharma and life sciences, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and data-driven decision-making in critical research environments. - Experience a dynamic, forward-thinking culture that fosters continuous learning, creativity, and professional growth.
