Job Description

Position Overview: The Learning Systems Quality Analyst II will be responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of learning management systems (LMS) and related educational technology tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, particularly within the realm of LMS administration. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, analytical skills, and effective communication to collaborate across teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for LMS applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues; work closely with development teams to resolve them.
  • Utilize QA tools and methodologies (e.g., Kaisen) to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze current QA processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document processes, workflows, and testing methodologies to support knowledge sharing and training.

Data Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights into LMS performance and user experience.
  • Synthesize new data quickly to inform decision-making and prioritize testing activities.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, instructional designers, and project managers, to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Autonomy and Leadership:

  • Operate autonomously in situations of ambiguity, utilizing high-level direction to guide quality initiatives.
  • Take initiative to lead QA projects and act as a subject matter expert in LMS and educational technology.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to team members on QA processes and tools.
  • Act as a point of contact for any QA-related inquiries and assist in resolving complex issues.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in educational technology and quality assurance practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA best practices and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in quality assurance, preferably in LMS administration or educational technology.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in QA tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with LMS platforms such as Adobe Learning Manager, Saba, or Canvas.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical background with the ability to think critically and synthesize data efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in facilitation and collaboration.
  • Certifications: QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
  • Availability: Willingness to work from 6 PM to 3 AM IST.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing increased workloads during peak periods.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Learning Manager (ALM) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
