Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer-Team Lead to lead the development of platforms that support the seamless execution of trading strategies and algorithms. In this role, you will work on both front-end and back-end systems, collaborating with traders and quantitative analysts to ensure the delivery of high-performance solutions. This role demands expertise across the entire technology stack and strong leadership skills to mentor junior developers and drive key projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead projects and mentor junior developers to foster growth within the team.

Collaborate with traders, product managers, and quantitative analysts to align business needs with technical solutions.

Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Project Management:

Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deployment, aligning with company objectives and timelines.

  • Technical Oversight:

Ensure the architecture and development practices are optimized for scalability, security, and performance, in alignment with the company's technical standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the quant research, risk management, and PMS teams to ensure that software solutions are aligned with business goals and regulatory guidelines.

  • Innovation and Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve the development process, increase efficiency, and enhance system capabilities.

  • Quality Assurance:

Implement rigorous testing and review processes to maintain the high quality and reliability of our systems, minimizing downtime and errors in production.

  • Full-Stack Software Development:

Design and develop both front-end and back-end components for research, trading, and risk management activities.

Build and maintain high-performance, low-latency software solutions to support quantitative analysis and trading operations.

Write reusable code and libraries for future use across the tech stack.

Work with HTML, JavaScript, React, Vue and CSS to create intuitive user interfaces.

Ensure front-end components are responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs.

Develop and maintain scalable systems using Python, C++, Java, and SQL.

Optimize data processing pipelines for real-time trade execution and portfolio management.

Implement and test algorithms to enhance trading systems and analytical processes.

  • Infrastructure Optimization and Reliability:

Monitor, optimize, and maintain the reliability and stability of the trading infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Automate processes such as trade execution and report generation.

  • Data and Risk Management:

Manage and organize data flows to improve portfolio valuation and risk management accuracy.

Ensure compliance with best practices in handling sensitive data and trading operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field (Advanced degrees preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with exposure to high-performance computing and full-stack development with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.


Technical Skills Required

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, SQL.
  • Front-End Expertise: Knowledge of React, Vue
  • Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of object-oriented and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Algorithmic Skills: Deep understanding of algorithms and computational complexity.
  • Infrastructure and Optimization: Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing software systems.

Proficiency with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, and experience with real-time data processing.
