Description :Location : Gurugram (Hybrid 2 days WFO)Experience : 5+ yearsWork Model : Agile (Scrum)Mandatory Skills :- SQL (complex queries, joins, SPs, Cursors, Triggers)- ETL- Big Data- Cloud (AWS preferred)- Pipeline Testing- Agile / ScrumJob Description :We are looking for an experienced DB/ETL QA Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of large-scale data systems and pipelines.The candidate will work closely with data engineering, development, and product teams to deliver stable and high-quality data solutions.Responsibilities :- Perform end-to-end testing of database, ETL workflows, and data pipelines- Validate data quality across multiple systems and environments- Execute complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing- Test ETL jobs, mappings, transformations, and scheduled workflows- Validate Big Data components and large dataset processing- Perform testing on cloud-based data systems (AWS preferred)- Validate CI/CD pipelines and data pipeline executions- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and sprint deliverables- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports- Log defects, track them to closure, and ensure timely delivery- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and release readinessQualifications :- Minimum 5+ years of experience in DB/ETL/Data QA roles- Strong SQL skills and experience with backend testing- Hands-on experience in ETL tools and Big Data ecosystem- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS)- Experience validating data pipelines and workflow orchestration tools- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum processes- Strong communication and analytical skills (ref:hirist.tech)
