Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. As a Openshift Adminstrator in our Cloud engineering Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate OpenShift Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving our OpenShift adoption and utilization, providing expert guidance and leadership to internal teams. You will leverage your deep understanding of OpenShift architecture, best practices, and security to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications at scale.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect secure, scalable, and performant OpenShift deployments aligned with business requirements.

Recommend and implement containerization strategies for various use cases.

Configure and manage OpenShift clusters (single and multi-cluster) using tools like Kubectl, OpenShift Web Console, and Ansible.

Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams on all aspects of OpenShift.

Conduct workshops and training sessions on OpenShift technologies and best practices.

Stay up-to-date on the latest OpenShift releases, features, and security updates.

Automate application deployments using CI/CD pipelines and tools like (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI), Data pipelines (e.g., Airflow, Stitch, Fivetran)

Implement continuous monitoring and logging solutions for OpenShift clusters.

Manage resources, quotas, and access control within OpenShift clusters.

Diagnose and resolve complex OpenShift-related issues efficiently.

Proactively identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operation of OpenShift environments.

Participate in the OpenShift community and stay informed about the latest development trends.

Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the organization.

Desired qualifications

4 years total and 2 years of experience working with OpenShift.

Proven experience with core OpenShift features and functionality.

Understanding of containerization concepts and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (ROSA) or equivalent expertise.

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for hosting OpenShift.

Experience with GitOps for managing OpenShift configurations.

Managing logs, Alerts, and Audit compliance report.

Location and way of working

• Base location: Mumbai or Hyderabad
• This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
• Hybrid is our default way of working. Each domain has customized the hybrid approach to their unique needs.

Your role as a cloud engineer

• Working with cloud platforms
• Experience as an enterprise systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation tools, such as Ansible.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storage
• Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on AWS for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications.
• Specific experience in implementing with AWS, including Virtual Networks, Computes, Load Balancers, Storage, Database and IAM Services
• Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments.
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows
• Experience with configuring software defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs.
• Experience with DevOps procedures and processes and with working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with troubleshooting very complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity and application performance and monitoring tools and offering high-level strategic planning and advice to an entity that will allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services.
