Job Title : Backend Engineering Sr. : 710 : Type : the Role :


We are looking for a Backend Engineering Manager with 710 years of hands-on experience in building and managing scalable backend systems. Youll lead a team of backend engineers, ensure high-quality code and architecture, and work closely with DevOps, product, and frontend teams to build robust services. This role combines technical depth with leadership responsibilities and is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-scale, high-performance Responsibilities :- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers; ensure the team is productive, motivated, and aligned with business goals.

- Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions and contribute to design and system scalability.

- Code Reviews: Oversee code quality through rigorous code reviews, enforcing best practices in code maintainability, testability, and performance.

- Project Ownership: Take complete ownership of backend services from design, development, deployment, monitoring, to incident management.

- DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring; ensure system uptime and performance.

- Scalability and Performance: Build and maintain systems that scale to millions of users; optimize for speed, memory, and efficiency.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to ship features on Skills Required :

- Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks).

DevOps & Infrastructure :

- Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).

- Experience with PostgreSQL and Amazon RDS.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus).

- Architecture: Proven ability to design microservices and event-driven architectures.

- Databases: Strong knowledge of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL); experience with scaling and performance :

- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 710 years of backend engineering experience, with 2+ years in a team leadership or managerial role.

- Proven experience in building and maintaining backend systems at scale.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering decisions independently.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
