Role Overview
Kothari International School, Kharadi, Pune, is seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead the school's academic and administrative operations. The Principal will be responsible for creating a dynamic and progressive learning environment, ensuring high academic standards, faculty development, and effective school management. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of fostering a collaborative culture among teachers, students, and parents while upholding the school's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & School Management
- Provide strong academic and operational leadership, ensuring the efficient functioning of the school.
- Develop and execute the school's vision, mission, and strategic goals aligned with the institution's values.
- Oversee admissions, student enrollment, and retention strategies to maintain and enhance the school's reputation.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE regulations and international curriculum standards.
- Drive initiatives for continuous school improvement, including infrastructure enhancements and new program development.
- Implement and monitor effective policies, procedures, and best practices in school administration.
Academic Excellence & Curriculum Implementation
- Supervise and support curriculum planning, development, and execution to maintain high academic standards.
- Ensure student-centric learning approaches that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies, technology integration, and research-based educational practices.
- Oversee student performance assessment, ensuring rigorous academic benchmarks are met.
- Foster a culture of experiential learning, STEAM education, and co-curricular excellence.
Faculty Development & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor highly qualified educators committed to excellence in teaching.
- Conduct professional development programs for teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Establish faculty evaluation systems to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Encourage collaborative teaching, mentorship, and continuous learning within the faculty.
Student Development & Well-being
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and student-friendly environment that supports emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Promote student engagement through leadership programs, clubs, community service, and extracurricular activities.
- Oversee student discipline and behavioral management strategies that uphold school values and positive reinforcement.
- Encourage parental involvement through active communication and engagement programs.
School Culture & Community Engagement
- Foster a positive school culture built on values of respect, integrity, innovation, and excellence.
- Strengthen parent-school partnerships through effective communication and collaborative initiatives.
- Represent the school in educational forums, conferences, and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, educational boards, and government authorities to enhance institutional growth.
Financial & Resource Management
- Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial management to ensure sustainability.
- Monitor school infrastructure, facilities, and operational efficiency.
- Drive initiatives for fundraising, grants, and partnerships to enhance educational offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, with at least 5 years as a Principal, Vice Principal, or Academic Head in a reputed CBSE/international school.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and student assessment techniques.
- Experience in faculty training, leadership development, and school operations.
- Proven ability to implement technology in education and enhance 21st-century learning skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented school environment.
- Sound knowledge of CBSE regulations, international accreditation, and best practices in school management.
