We are seeking a skilled and driven Procurement Engineer to join our expanding team and contribute to the success of our eVTOL program.About the Role:The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring components and services in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The role requires close coordination with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and services critical to aircraft operations and BOM parts.Key Responsibilities:• Identify and qualify suppliers for aircraft parts, tools, and services, operations.• Review technical specifications and ensure procurement aligns with engineering requirements.• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors.• Manage RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.• Ensure the Procure to Pay process from start to end.• Maintain the material planning sheet• Monitor and maintain inventory levels.• Resolve supply chain issues, including delays, quality concerns, and warranty claims.• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits.• Support cost-reduction initiatives and supplier development programs.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain within the aviation/aerospace industry.• Knowledge of aviation parts, Indirect and Direct parts• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365)• Should and must have worked on Teamcenter PLM and have knowledge of EBOM & MBOM• Understanding and know-how on Contract management • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Preferred Skills:• Experience with MRO procurement or airline operations.• Ability to work in a startup environment and should be flexible in work timings and suppliers' visits.• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.• Language preference – English (Mandatory), Kannada, TamilWhy Join Us?Be a part of a world-class team in an environment where your work directly contributes to shaping the future of urban air mobility. Thrive in our culture of diversity, inclusion, and innovation, where your unique perspectives and ideas are valued. Enjoy a competitive compensation package, with opportunities for growth and development in a rapidly evolving industry. Sarla Aviation is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workspace, championing equality, and empowering every individual.
