Security Engineer

We are seeking immediate joiners with 3+ years of experience.
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on various systems, networks, and applications to identify and mitigate security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on web applications, mobile applications, networks, and infrastructure.
Develop and execute security testing plans and methodologies. Identify, analyze, and document security vulnerabilities and provide remediation recommendations.
Create detailed reports of findings and collaborate with development and IT teams to address security issues.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members and other departments on security best practices.
Participate in incident response activities and assist in the investigation of security breaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
Strong understanding of security principles, methodologies, and tools.
Proficiency with security tools such as Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and others. Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications such as OSCP are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. Knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
Experience with threat modelling and risk assessment.
